太平通宝花钱

古往今来,“太平”两字,一直是家喻户晓的吉祥语,它是指社会稳定、安宁、人民安居乐业。历朝历代的老百姓们,一直都渴望着太平盛世,这是发自内心最质朴的期盼。统治者也曾将这种期盼融入钱币之中。纵观历史,北宋、清末两代均铸有太平通宝钱花钱,此铜钱为有清末上海小刀会起义军(公元1853年~公元1855年)年间铸造的民间“太平通宝”花钱。

中国花钱的在历史发展过程中源远流长,这种钱一般不作为货币流通,而仅供某一种需要,如佩带之用,也有的更多带有道家色彩“打马格钱”“棋钱”还有就更多受佛教影响,花钱厌胜钱又称“压胜钱”,“厌胜”的意思是“厌而胜之”,系用法术诅咒或祈祷以达到制胜所厌恶的人、物或魔怪的目的,由此而铸成钱币形态的辟邪品、吉利品,统称厌胜钱。
